Every day he has to master several kilometers on his hands

... the 12-year old boy can only walk on his hands. He has problems climbing the loading space of the public pick-ups. Therefore he prefers to walk 4 kilometers from his hut to the market on his hands - feet up in the air - where he is doing his begging. When the day is over he walks back the whole distance. Nevertheless, again and again a smile appears on his face...
 

Thanks to Inge she is able to go to school now

... not allowed to school is the 10-year old girl from this village with her foot deformed by poliomyelitis. She lives a life without hope and full of fear rather avoided then liked by the other children. The disabled leg does not allow her to walk or even run. Inge lifts her up to hold her in her arms. She is panic-stricken, her little heart threatens to burst. She is not used to strangers close-by. Or has she been experiencing violence? In the hospital, Inge will be getting her custom-built crutches - simple ones, that will still give her back some mobility and therefore a bit of joy.
